On July 20, 2020, the inauguration ceremony of the Xi Jinping Thought  on Diplomacy Research Center was held in Beijing, with State Councilor and Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi unveiling the plaque and delivering a speech at the inauguration ceremony, attended by relevant comrades in charge of the Publicity Department, the Central Policy Research Office, and the Party History and Literature Research Center of the CPC Central Committee. Prof. Huang Zhixiong, Vice Dean of our school, was selected as the first batch of invited experts of the center.

The Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy Research Center was established by Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct research on Xi Jinping's thought on diplomacy, and to serve the theoretical construction, institutional mechanism and capacity building of diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The center first appointed 18 renowned experts in international studies as guest experts, and Prof. Huang is the only one from the field of law.
