On October 24, the opening ceremony and teacher-student meeting of 2019 international  postgraduates of "International Law and Chinese law" program was held in Room 325. Dean Feng Guo of Law School , Dean Hu Yanchu of School of International Education, associate professor Liang Wenwen, Zou Guoyong, and Yuan Quan, the program director of School of International Education, Liu yabing, the director of student affairs office of School of International Education and Wu Liuqing, the project coordinator attended the ceremony. Professor Li Xueping, the director of  "International Law and Chinese law" program, presided over the meeting.

First of all, Dean Feng Guo welcomed all the overseas students on behalf of Law School. He introduced Wuhan University and law school to the overseas students. He also stressed that the law school would provide all the conveniences and conditions for the students to study in Wuhan University. Finally, Dean Feng raised three expectations for all the students: to study hard and complete their studies; to experience and understand Chinese culture; to consolidate the friendship between China and their home country, and to contribute to the friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Professor Hu Yanchu hoped that the students could understand Chinese culture, learn Chinese language, and understand Chinese thinking mode. He also pointed out that the cultural environment was of great benefit to the students.

Later, as teacher representatives, Ms. Liang Wenwen, and Mr. Zou Guoyong made speeches respectively. Ms. Liang Wenwen introduced the long history of law school of Wuhan University to the students. Mr. Zou Guoyong expressed his hope to see the progress and growth of the student in the future.

Next, the student representatives of Grade 2018 and 2019 spoke successively. Both students expressed their gratitude for the precious learning opportunities given by the Chinese government, Wuhan University and law school, and said they would cherish the learning opportunities and strive to complete their studies.

In the discussion, the students and teachers had deep interaction and exchange. The teachers clarified and answered questions on the selection of tutors, scholarships and other matters related to the students.

Finally, Professor Li Xueping summed up the meeting, and the opening ceremony was successfully concluded.
